Tim put a new windshield in the Jeep. We've had cracks in the corner of it for a couple of years and just hadn't taken time to get it fixed. Since we've gotten here, we've noticed a burnt rubber smell. Tim tracked it down and changed out a part (I can't remember what it was, but he had it changed pretty quickly). He's a pretty handy friend to have around!
The highlight of our day was a scenic drive to Ava, MO and then watching Dawson and the Thayer JV team play football. It was a nail biter going into overtime tied at 8 each. Ava got the first shot and fumbled just short of the end zone. Thayer was able to score, winning the game.
The downer was that early in the second quarter Dawson hurt the ring finger on his left hand. Christy went down to check on it. She thinks it's probably broken. Dawson still wanted to play, so she taped him up and he stuck it out for the rest of the game. He'll go in for x-rays tomorrow to get the verdict. He's definitely tougher than I am!!!
