- It was a beautiful day with no rain and only scattered clouds in the sky
- We found our "road less traveled" and splattered the clean Jeep with some Montana mud
- We visited Polebridge Mercantile which has been in business since 1914 and runs a bakery by solar power as they are so remote that there isn't any electric service
- We bought some of the pastries and sandwiches for our lunch and they were great!
- We ate our lunch beside a beautiful mountain lake
- We picked up a couple of backpackers and gave them a lift to their trailhead and had a lovely visit learning about their lives
- We visited a second beautiful lake and saw more wildlife today than we has seen up until now
- We ended the day with a wonderful meal and visit at the lovely mountain home of one of my co-workers from 20+ years ago
Yummy stuff!

Another velvet antlered white tail.
This little fella crossed the road in front of us. I was hoping it was a Ptarmigan but my book says Ruffed Grouse.
Meet Andy and Taylor. Andy will be 35 tomorrow and works for the outdoor high adventure program at Arizona University. Taylor didn't share her age, but is working on her masters at in Environmental Science at Landers, WY. This is them at the beginning of a 36 mule backpacking trip through Glacier NP.
Look closely here. There were a bazillion little fish swimming around.

Carol and Robert Nasits-Carol worked with me at First United Methodist Day School in Atlanta, Texas. It was wonderful to visit with her again! First time in 21 years!
