Fall 2015

Scott and I went backpacking in the Rawah Wilderness north and west of Fort Collins over Labor Day weekend. It was my first ever true backpacking experience. Scott had a loop picked out with plenty of options. We ended up only doing about a third of the loop as this ol' gal pooped out a little sooner than we would have liked. I still had a great time and I guess Scott did as well because he's already planning next years trip! It was amazing being out it the wilderness (although there were a lot of folks on the trail) and spending that time with Scott.


BACKPACKING



We headed to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park Sept.19-20th with our good friends, Jud and Cathy Hall. Beautiful weather and we got to see some lovely color.

In between all the Girl Scouting, David and I had overnight guests several times. Loved having them and showing off the new house! We spent 4 days in Rocky Mountain National Park in June. We celebrated 5 grandsugars birthdays over the summer (the oldest-Becca, and youngest-Zane celebrate theirs in April). We got to attend two family reunions in Oklahoma and we got to spend a week in the mountains jeeping and having fun with friends in the annual All-4-Fun. David has worked steadily on finishing his shop and we've worked on the landscaping around the house. He says that he is on 174 of the 176 things on the to-do-list that he had when he retired. I personally think the list is much longer, but I know he has worked hard all summer long!

Girl Scouting-Summer 2015

What a summer it's been. Lots of Girl Scouting with a little time for David and I thrown in. With Girl Scouts I've held an adult outdoor training, had two family cookouts with two different troops, held a three day campout with 65 girls and 25 adults, went on a trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota with four girls and another adult and took the Brownie troop to Rocky Mountain National Park where we went hiking and horseback riding.
